Capacity calculation process for 120 tons extruding mixer from BBT

When auger outer diameter=570 mm, radius = 285 mm = 0.285 meters

auger sleeve outer diameter: 194 mm, radius = 97 mm = 0.097 meters

auger length: L = 300 mm = 0.3 meters

Feeding capacity per revolution: 1.

0.285² x 3.14 x 0.03 - 0.097² x 3.14 x 0.3 = 0.0765 - 0.00886 = 0.06764 cubic meters

Due to there are 2 pieces of auger meshing and blade volume, the actual feeding rate is approximately 50%.

0.06764 m³ x 2 sets x 50% x 34 r/min x 60 minutes = 138 cubic meters

1 cubic meter = 1.3 tons

After the clay is agitated by the auger, it becomes loosen and with an efficiency of approximately 75%.

138 m³ x 0.75 x 1.3 = 135 tons

Therefore, a production capacity of 120 tons per hour can be achieved.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

1. Mixing and Homogenization:

The extruding mixer uses the counter-rotating blades to thoroughly mix raw materials like clay and water, ensuring even distribution of moisture and additives for a uniform, plastic mass in the process for clay brick making.

2. Enhancing Plasticity:

The mechanical action develops the plasticity and workability of the clays for the forming process.

3. Pre-compression and Densification:

The clay is compacted to remove air and reduce porosity before going into the vacuum extruder, which improving the density and the strength of the clay.

4. Impurity Filtration: It can filter out large impurities to prevent blockages and damage to the next brick making machine.

1. The blades are replaceable, which is fixed by bolts and nuts;
2. There are no holes drilled through the main shaft;
3. the shafts are installed after heating. It was fixed after cooling. The bushing is very thick dose not damage the shaft;
4. The circular parts are all installed by heat assembly process. The inner diameter of the circular parts is smaller than the shaft diameter, which makes the welding effect better.
5. Working principle for the angle of the blades on the extruding mixer as following:
   1. The angle of the mixing blades is directly proportional to the angle of the auger, ensuring sufficient material at the auger end.
   2. If the angle is too small, the clays move too slow from the inlet to the outlet, it is easily accumulating in the mixing trough.
   3. If the angle is too large, the clays move too quickly from the inlet to the outlet, it will be in poor mixing and may have a blockage at the auger inlet.
